We left the moto in the corner of a municipal yard and our bags in the tourism office outside of hydro Electrica. The office worker hooked us up big time and we caught a taxi to where the train takes workers to Aguas Caliente. It was a beautiful walk along the tracks into town on our way to Machu Pichu. #film #Peru @wearewestamerica ===>Check you my site here or in my bio for survial guide tips and tricks: https://www.intothejungle.org --------------------------------------------------- via Instagram

"Our management style is unique because it's designed around family surviving economically, ecologically, working with nature, in harmony with nature. [...] The reality of it is that we have a huge opportunity to take care of the land by emulating the way bison used to graze, by taking organic material, making soil out of it, creating opportunities for young seedlings to propagate and grow, minimizing bare soil. Essentially doing all the things that bison and wildebeests, the great ungulate herds of the world used to do." • Duke III breaking down the idea of the working landscape, a cornerstone of the @ranchlands mission. At the heart of this idea lies the constant pursuit of balance between man and nature, the practical existence and applications of ranching coupled with an awareness that there are both harmful and restorative ways to work the land. Each day with Duke and his family is guided in part by their quest to better understand the complex interrelationships between the wild and the domestic, the traditions of ranching and the potential for stewardship and conservation on a large scale across the American West. @forestwoodward ===>Check you my site here or in my bio for survial guide tips and tricks: https://www.intothejungle.org --------------------------------------------------- via Instagram

PROJECT: WP-Scenic Overlooks LOCATION: Glacier National Park, MT SUBJECT: Mt. Oberlin & Going To The Sun Road NOTES: Going-to-the-Sun Road is the only road that crosses Glacier National Park in Montana, USA, going over the Continental Divide at Logan Pass. It was completed in 1932. The road is one of the most difficult roads in North America to snowplow in the spring. Up to 80 feet (24 m) of snow can lie on top of Logan Pass, and more just east of the pass where the deepest snowfield has long been referred to as Big Drift. That time we soared... In a cloth-covered time machine above Egypt's monuments of time - the great Pyramids of Giza. It was my first and most memorable story for @natgeo - a historical re-enactment of the first African air passage with a Vickers Vimy biplane made the first flight from London to Cape Town in 1920. It took those aviation pioneers 43 days. Any guess how long it took us to fly an exact replica Vimy the same route in 1999 (top speed 65 mph)? #aviation #adventure #vimy 📷 #petemcbride #bw archive @pedromcbride ===>Check you my site here or in my bio for survial guide tips and tricks: https://www.intothejungle.org --------------------------------------------------- via Instagram
PROJECT: National Parks & Swimming Hole Guidebook LOCATION: Glacier National Park SUBJECT: Kintla Lake NOTES: Kintla Lake is a lake in the northwestern portion of Glacier National Park in Montana. The lake is located in a rather remote portion of the park, close to the Canadian border. The lake is a 40 mi (64 km) drive from the west entrance along bumpy dirt roads, but the scenery on the way is spectacular. At 1,698 acres (687 ha), Kintla Lake is only slightly smaller than Bowman Lake, and is the fourth largest lake in the park. @yonderjournal ===>Check you my site here or in my bio for survial guide tips and tricks: https://www.intothejungle.org --------------------------------------------------- via Instagram

PROJECT: WP-Scenic Overlooks LOCATION: Dawson Lake just off Country Road 34, 10 miles northeast of Bonners Ferry, Idaho in the Idaho Panhandle NOTES: When gold was discovered in the East Kootenays of British Columbia in 1863, thousands of prospectors from all over the West surged northward over a route that became known as the Wildhorse Trail. Edwin Bonner, a merchant from Walla Walla, Washington, established a ferry in 1864 where the trail crossed the broad Kootenai River. In 1875, Richard Fry, and his Sinixt wife, Justine Su-steel Fry, leased the business, but the location retained the name of the original founder and later became the town of Bonners Ferry. @yonderjournal ===>Check you my site here or in my bio for survial guide tips and tricks: https://www.intothejungle.org --------------------------------------------------- via Instagram

Tucker showing Bill, our partially blind friend, the corona around the total eclipse last week. Three years ago, Tucker and I were in over our heads working on the tree houses and needed help. Tucker suggested we fly in his childhood friend and carpenter, Bill, out from Maine. The plan was for Bill to come out for a few weeks, but he ended up staying until the project was finished. Shortly after, Bill was in a bad accident and suffered a severe brain injury. He spent 8 weeks in a coma and when he finally regained consciousness, he was partially blind. He's had a long path to recovery. Two years after the accident, Bill came out for the eclipse. I've taken hundreds of thousands of photos over the years, and this is without a doubt one of my favorites. Earlier this summer, we had the idea to run from Chamonix to Zermatt via the Glacier Haute Route. The line, keeping to mostly alpine terrain, is more direct, and we knew it would challenge us in ways other than just endurance. Yesterday we arrived in Zermatt after lots of up and down, seriously crevassed glacier terrain, and even some doubts about our style - because we did it in running gear. We're still trying to decide if it was a good idea or not. More about this experience soon. A huge thanks to @kimberly.strom and @pascalegli for joining in and keeping the rope tight, and to @dynafit @petzl_official and @trailbutter for supporting our idea. #RuntheAlpsSwitzerland @danpatitucci ===>Check you my site here or in my bio for survial guide tips and tricks: https://www.intothejungle.org --------------------------------------------------- via Instagram
